From Heaven to Earth and Back – the path of intercession.
“In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should,
but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches
the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according
to the will of God.” Romans 8:26–27
The Holy Spirit (3 o’clock in the prayer cycle): Guides us by placing God’s desires in our hearts. He also intercedes directly for us, even when we don’t know how to pray. “the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words” Romans 8:26b
The Praying Believer (6 o’clock): We offer our imperfect prayers.
Jesus Christ (9 o’clock): Combines our prayers with His perfect intercession, presenting them to the Father. [Jesus] “who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us.” Romans 8:34b
- God the Father shares His heart with the Holy Spirit.
- The Spirit inspires believers to pray for personal, community, and global needs.
- We pray in Jesus’ name, guided by the Spirit, who is also interceding for us.
- Jesus receives our prayers, aligns them with God’s will, and brings them to fulfillment.
Every believer, from every corner of the world, is a vital link in God’s prayer chain. Your prayers, no matter how simple, are powerful when offered in faith.
Spend a moment thanking God for inviting you into His prayer process – what an awesome privilege.
“Father, thank You for including me in Your plan. Guide my prayers to reflect Your love and plan for the world. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
